Scott Pilgrim vs. the World

Wow. Like Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, this movie feels like a comic book come to real life. The animation beautifully blends together with the live-action shots, and it adds so much to the experience. I wish I could have watched this in theaters because of the effects and score. This movie isn't like anything I've ever watched. It's chaotic, hilarious, and so sweet. Michael Cera is so amazing in this movie!! Also, some of the video game narration is by Bill Hader, my favorite comedian alongside John Mulaney. I love this entire movie but especially the sequences of dialogue that are fast-paced and quick-witted.

While I love this movie, it's not my absolute favorite. I'm not really an action fan, so the scenes where Scott fights Ramona's exes weren't entertaining. Sad to admit this, but I actually was tempted to skip the fight sequences when watching the movie on Netflix. That's the only fault of this movie! Scott Pilgrim vs. the World is unique, fresh, and a must-see. The whole movie is extremely entertaining, and while it has its faults, I will definitely revisit it later in life.
